Amherst Laboratories Plant tour, Mampalasan, Binian Laguna

I was one of those senior high schools who joined the private plant tour at Amherst laboratories. Everything was acquired good care of from our ride ( a van) and they also provided breakfast and lunch. It is such a worthy experience.

During our tour, I found out what is happening inside. IMG_9677.jpg

First, we had an orientation to their hall we learned so many things such as how many years that the Amherst laboratories started, how many plants they have in making, how they can handle different kinds of medicines and who is involved in every product they make my curiosity on medicines finally come to an end.

For me,  Amherst laboratories are a dream come true I was such amazed to those doctors and researchers I knew at that moment because someday I know that I will be a doctor so I already had an insight at how my work in a medicinal production would be. We went into various places where medicines are made up from solid plant to liquid plant from the machines to packaging but first, they oriented us that the  Laboratory is highly sensitive when it comes to sanitation. They provided shoe covers and lab gowns before entering the production area. Amherst Laboratories is such an experience for those who wanted to work in a medicinal product.

So if I were you Choose UNILAB!

First Pioneer Distribution Inc. is a company that distributes the product of Amherst in different places and I think that is for ABM students who wanted to take the industry of business and of marketing. So if you want to pursue a business track maybe this exposure can help you see what a business track is.

The Artworks

Introduction:

In this blog, I will showcase my talent of making an artwork using contemporary artwork based on the sentiment of low Self-esteem. Low self-esteem is when you don’t have the feeling or when you don’t have the confidence to do a simple thing, when you are afraid of what will the people will think of you. In relation to the contemporary art of Philippine Arts Class for me the meaning contemporary is the different art styles that invade the Philippines one example is the precolonial and colonial style the one of a kind artwork that still can be seen here in the Philippines, The architectural of the old churches during the precolonial and colonial period.

Featured Artworks:

Photo on 18-10-2018 at 12.06 #4In my first 3D artwork in this I used printed pictures of me and the things I have as an example of art. I also have an airplane which symbolizes that we can be free in our own selves from the judgements of other people. 3D is when you see pictures in real life like it is in front of you. Just be happy and be content with your own skin.

My second artwork which I haven’t take a pic is the self-portrait (just please imagine it). In this artwork I used an old picture frame. In the old picture frame I found a piece of abaca fabric and a bamboo paper. My picture frame artwork symbolizes a beautiful picture made my everyone else. The bamboo paper that serves as the picture inside the frame means that we have our inner most calming behavior of ourselves. And lastly the abaca fabric which means we do need to protect ourselves from the people who are toxic in our lives.

The third artwork that I haven’t take pic is the collage. In the collage you can find there a cut pieces of an airplane which symbolizes that everything is beautiful, everything can be done by perseverance. You’ll have the turbulence when taking a long road but remember you’re the one who’s making your path. They say airports have the happiest hello’s and the saddest goodbyes but for me airports are the gateway to have a better future ahead of you in spite the challenges you’ve faced in the past there would be a chance for you to glow up and to be better person in time.

In conclusion the Philarts class of Ms. Pauline Navarro has thought me many things. The first one is the beauty of art in past centuries that were related to the sentiment. A contemporary art, a modern art reflecting issues in the modern society. And in this I discovered that I also have a talent in art and a passion in making and recycling many things. I discovered a nonsense thing can turn into art which is great! Right?

I know that this course would take me into higher exploration using art and a higher-ideas about what art can be in 30 years. The evolution and the repetition of art such as baroque styles and pop art styles, installation, aesthetics which can be seen now in the society. Another thing is all about life we can make art when we are sad, happy or frustrated in art we can show our feelings rather than to cry.

Lipa’s Best places to visit

Screen Shot 2018-10-10 at 20.21.37Marian Orchard, this place was really nice. I feeI the solemnity of the place when we arrived here. And they say that “Mary was the first pilgrim. Her journey of faith, beginning with the stunning announcement of her Son’s impending birth to His last excruciating moments in Calvary, has inspired veneration as old as Christianity itself.”

A best friend is a title held for the few and privileged. The term cannot be thrown around loosely. Not just anyone can be called your best friend. A best friend has to first meet several qualifications and have many outstanding characteristics to have the honor of holding such a prestigious title. Being a best friend is more than someone that you’ve seen everyday and grown up with. A best friend can be someone with whom you’ve known since childhood but can also be someone that you’ve just met, and similar to “love at first sight,” you just click with. The true definition of a best friend is someone that knows you inside out and would go to the ends of the earth for you. Through thick and thin, a best friend supports you and helps you through tough times. A best friend does not back away from you when you think you’ve lost it. Those are the times that a best friend is always there for. A best friend is someone with whom you’ve shared your most intimate secrets with, and laughed the loudest. She probably knows you better than anyone you can think of, definitely better than your parents, and sometimes better than you know yourself. She has seen you at your worst, and helped you be your best.

People in the world have their goals, hopes and dreams no matter they are children, teenagers or adults. Normally, their desires are changing while they are growing along. It is because people in different ages have different requirements and thoughts. It’s amazing that when you become mature, u start to think about things that u don’t normally think. No matter how hard it would be, most people would try their best to achieve their goals, hopes and dreams.

The invention of the camera, for most, was a pivotal time in history.  Since the click of the first shutter people have used photographs to capture momentous occasions.  As technology has progressed we now are able to hold the most candid moments on video, on paper, on disc and even on our phones. As I reflect back on the photographs my own eye has taken, I am reminded of the few times I was unable to snap that shutter closed.

People throughout the world have the ability to capture every moment of time. More often then not we allow the camera to see for us.  We are so determined to freeze those moments in time that we often miss the very thing we had hoped to see. Does this mean our momentous occasions have now become a collection of everyday occurrences?   Or are we letting the camera take the place of our minds?  Holding on to every second, often without actually experiencing what we are trying so hard to treasure.

I cannot imagine living my life without my family by my side. Family is very important and valuable to me and is something that should never be taken for granted. Without my family, a large part of my life and culture would be missing.

Historical architectural landmarks you can’t miss in Taal, Batangas

Taal, Officially the municipality of taal is a third class municipality in the province of Batangas, Philippines. Taal is famous for its old ancestral houses. Its poblacion (central business district) is designated as a national historical landmark. The municipality is known as the balisong and barong tagalog capilital of the Philippines. the town is home of hundreds of heritage structures from the spanish colonial period. Scholars have been pushing for its inclusion in the UNESCO world heritage lists. 10492402_431885493627241_3940473463765204972_nBatañgueno’s Balisong they say that batangueños are Matapang At Palaban.

barong And this is the Taal’s Native Barong Tagalog as taal town has survived many historical turn of events, so has the barong tagalog survived  imposing fashions and evolving trends. Although its style has evolved several times throughout the centuries,The Barong tagalog evolved from the “baro”, The filipino male short worn prior to the coming of the spaniards. Barong tagalog remains to be a lifeline taal and has become internationally embraced. As the Barong capital of the Philippines.

Through out my adventure in taal, I first laid eyes on this ancient burial ground in taal. The Libingan ng mga Kastila located about a block back of Taal Basilica. This was once the burial ground of Taal’s Spanish elites. It was also where they buried those that succumbed century to the Cholera epidemic that hit Taal back in early 20th century. The site was descerated over time and the remaining bones where re interred in Taal Cemetery. The site then fell vitim to the neglect of the times past.  Unknown-1

The Don Leon Apacible Museum, once the ancestral home of Don  Leon and Matilde Apacible, it stands like a beacon on the main street of the town. Don Leon was Emilio Aguinaldo’s Finance officer and a delegate to the Malolos Congress of 1898.d-apacible

The Doña Marcela Agoncillo Museum, taal’s oldest house, built in the late 17th century by Marcela’s grandfather Andres Mariño.With the heirs donating the property to the national government,it is presently being maintained by the Department of tourism. d-dona-agoncillo-300x201-1.jpgd-dona-agoncillo-statue-225x300

and then we had lunch in the Galleria the taal the food taste good and after we ate we explore the camera museum of taal and it is know for the biggest collections of camera in southeast asia. Then we went to taal market which we interviewed some of the people about our research topic ” dengue” some of the people are nice but some are don’t they are sarcastic. In conclusion taal for me is one of the most wonderful places in the Philippines you shouldn’t miss  because the architectural and the landscapes are from the spanish colonial period. In Taal the history is tol not through volumnious tomes but through surviving structures reminiscent of the town’s oldern days. As Heritage conservationist Architect Manuel Noche noted ” The history and culture of the Philippines are reflected in its architechtural heritage, in dwellings of its various peoples,in response to the demands of progress and the aspirations of the people.”
